Souhegan Sustainability Fair in New Hampshire

The Souhegan Sustainability Fair is back.

Mark your calendars for this family-friendly event with free admission, Saturday, April 14th from 10AM-4PM at the Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative High School at 57 School Road, Wilton, NH. The evening continues with a tour of Frye Field at 5:00 and a reception at High Mowing School located at 222 Isaac Frye Hwy in Wilton, NH.

This year see over 30 exhibits from Do-It-Yourself Solar to Complementary Medicine and a demonstration on upcycling used denim clothing. Scheduled presentations on a wide variety of topics will be offered. The Rise Up! Center will offer educational activities just for kids with music and story-telling by Papa Joe throughout the day. There’s a Food Court with food for purchase and live music from 10-4. A Farmers’ Market will have fresh produce and NH-Made products for sale from our local farms.

Feeling stressed? Take a mindfulness and meditation nature walk, learn about B-Corporations from Dan Weeks, or stroll through the student art exhibits and listen to music all day while you sample foods from Oliver’s, Gary’s Harvest and the Wilton House of Pizza.

Need some action? Talk to the people from Wilton Peace Action, the League of Conservation Voters, the NH Community Rights Network, Brox Environmental Citizens and the Citizen’s Climate Lobby.

Want to make something? Our “Make It and Take It” hands on workshops can help – from building an earthworm bin for composting, to making green cleaning products, wildflower seed bombs, to bird nest boxes. There is only a small fee to cover materials for these workshops.

The Souhegan Sustainability Fair is sponsored by the Wilton Conservation Commission and is open to residents, students and visitors from anywhere.
