The Energy Code Commentator presents…

What’s New with the 2018 IECC?

The 2018 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) was released in September of last year, and brings about several important updates. This installment of our training series will provide an overview of the Code’s residential provisions, highlighting changes to its mandatory and prescriptive requirements, as well as its performance paths, including the Energy Rating Index (ERI). This is a not-to-miss event for designers, builders, code officials, and anyone interested in the future of residential energy codes!

What’s the Energy Code Commentator?

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Building Energy Codes Program hosts a webinar-based training series called the Energy CodeCommentator. The series spans a variety of special topics–for both residential and commercial buildings. Events are held bi-monthly on the second Thursday at 1p (eastern).

Suggestions for future topics are always welcome, and check out our energy codes training portal for the scheduled lineup and recordings of past events!
