Agenda Includes Housing Market Update and Possibilities for Change
From Vital Communities, White River Junction, VT:
Join business leaders from across the region at the Fall Business Leaders Housing Breakfast on October 26 from 7:30 am to 9 am at the Fireside Inn in West Lebanon.
This fall’s event will explore the regional nature of our housing challenge and current possibilities for change with Dartmouth College geographer Garrett Dash Nelson. We’ll also hear the latest on the Upper Valley housing market from local Realtors Buff McLaughry of Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty and Lynne LaBombard of Housing Solutions Real Estate.
Business leaders and community members can register online for this free event at VitalCommunities.org/Housing.
Hosted by the regional nonprofit organizations Vital Communities and Twin Pines Housing, the breakfast brings leaders together each spring and fall to better understand the Upper Valley’s housing market, the role of workforce housing in vibrant local economies and communities, and potential solutions to the housing challenges we face.
“The Upper Valley faces a critical shortage of housing that working families can afford near their jobs, schools, and services,” said Vital Communities Executive Director Tom Roberts. “Local business and community leaders are committed to finding creative solutions to this challenge while maintaining the essential character of this region we love. The semi-annual housing breakfast offers an opportunity for leaders to better understand the current challenges and find ways to catalyze positive change—together.”
The Fall Business Leaders Housing Breakfast is generously sponsored by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust and the Vermont Housing Finance Agency. Registered attendees are encouraged to make a $10 minimum contribution at the door to support Vital Communities’ housing program.
