- “France approves 720 MW of new solar power” • The French government gave the go ahead to 103 new solar power projects. The Ministry of Ecology and Solidary Transition said they represent an estimated 720 MW of power capacity. France has a target set by the ministry to tender 2,450 MW of new solar energy each year. - “Blockchain enables Australia’s peer-to-peer power trading kick-off” • Cheap solar electricity will be traded among neighboring residents in apartment blocks in Western Australia, in a project supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
