Where: The Doane Stuart School, 199 Washington Ave. Rensselaer, NY
What: Over fifty vendors and organizations plus two separate workshop rooms with twenty-two topics.
Keynote speaker at noon: Judith Enck, former EPA Regional Coordinator and her speech is entitled “The Climate Change Crisis and the Promise of Renewable Energy”.
This is one-stop shopping for products and services concerning living a more sustainable life in the Capital District. There will be at least sixteen for profit and thirty-four non-profit organizations providing information on renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation along with displays about sustainable living.
Food and many children’s activities will be available. The Fair is on the CDTA bus route, bus #214.
Bob Connors, one of the Fair organizers, said “We’ve got a wonderful venue, Judith Enck and the Mayor of Rensselaer as the speakers, terrific exhibitors, exceptional workshop speakers, a Fair Program booklet, several food vendors, children’s activities, even a solar boat!”
Becky Meier, another Fair organizer, said: “whether you own or rent a home or business, there will be wide-ranging information provided at the Fair enabling you to break free from fossil fuels.”
Tina Lieberman, another Fair organizer, said “Many people will be pleasantly surprised to find out how much they can do to lower their carbon footprint in an affordable and convenient manner.”
