From The Ashes takes a compelling look at the lives and issues behind the “war on coal” to show what’s at stake for our economy, health and climate. The film presents the stories and real facts behind the coal industry’s legacy while offering solutions that can help revive struggling rural economies and safeguard the environment. The film will air globally on National Geographic on Sunday, June 25.
The film and the accompanying talk not only delves into the issues surrounding coal but solutions that are happening across the country to make the transition to renewable energy sources.
From the Ashes is produced by RadicalMedia in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies and directed by Michael Bonfiglio and produced by Sidney Beaumont.
If you are a political movie fan, on Tuesday at 7:00pm Lt. Govenor David Zuckerman will be hosting a premier of Waking the Sleeping Giant at the Pavilion Auditorium in Montpelier
