Dan Reicher, a national leader guiding the transition to our clean energy future looks forward to offering keynote remarks at REV2016.
Dan Reicher served as Interim Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). Mr. Reicher served as the President of New Energy Capital Partners LLC. He has over 25 years of experience in energy technology, policy, and finance. He served as Chief of Staff at U.S. Department of Energy. He served as an Advisor at VantagePoint Capital Partners. Prior to this, he served as an Executive Vice President at Northern Power Systems, Inc. and also served as an Assistant Secretary of Energy for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the United States Department of Energy from 1997 to 2001, where he directed investments of over $1 billion annually in renewable energy, distributed generation and energy efficiency research, development and deployment. Previously, Mr. Reicher held other senior management posts within the Department of Energy. He joined Stanford in 2011 from Google, where he served since 2007 as Director of Climate Change and Energy Initiatives. He was a Member of President Obama’s Transition Team. Mr. Reicher serves as the Chairman of the Board of American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and served as its Co-Chairman. He serves as Co-Chairman of the Advisory Board of the American Council on Renewable Energy. He also served as Co-Chairman of the U.S. Biomass Research and Development Board. He served as a Member of the U.S. Delegation to the Climate Change Negotiations, and a Member of the Board of the government-industry Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles. He serves as Executive Director of Stanford University’s Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance. Mr. Reicher holds a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and a J.D. degree from Stanford Law School.
