TOMORROW: Aerial Art Photo to Support Renewable Energy!

What: Ready for 100 Campaign Launch – Aerial Art Photo
Where: Dartmouth Green
When: Wednesday August 17th, 5pm-5:45pm
Rain date: TBA if necessary
We need your help to make this campaign successful! Please join us tomorrow to take part in an aerial art photo on the Dartmouth Green, to show the world that we’re ready for 100% renewable energy. Internationally, people have been gathering to show their support for renewable energy, and they’ve been using aerial art to send a powerful message. We’re ready to do the same in the Upper Valley. We’re working with the same artist that created this beautiful photo from the COP21 Paris Climate Negotiations, John Quigley. (You can see the image if you click the RSVP link.) Please wear white/ lighter colors for the photo.
Some background on the campaign:
Ready for 100 is a nation-wide campaign initiated by the Sierra Club in coordination with other groups to influence cities, regions, and states to commit to 100% of their energy coming from renewable sources for all three sectors by 2050 and for the electric grid by 2030. The Sierra Club Upper Valley Group applied for grant funding last fall to become part of this nationwide effort and was selected to join this exciting campaign. The Upper Valley is now one of 25 regions across the country working to achieve this ambitious goal.
The Sierra Club released a new report this week, highlighting 10 cities that made the commitment to go 100% renewable! You can check out the TIME Magazine coverage of this report: Click here.
We’d love for you to join us and learn more about the campaign! If you have any questions, email the Upper Valley, Ready For 100 Community Organizer, Ally Samuell: allyson.samuell@sierraclub.org
