This academics-to-action program bridges science and engineering with social aspects of addressing climate change, saves money for communities, and empowers youth. GSEC has been redesigned this year as a professional development program, supporting teachers who commit to undertaking projects that reduce energy use in their school or in the larger community. VEEP provides teachers with curriculum resources, equipment, and technical and educational support for their projects. Program includes collaboration with other teacher, VEEP staff support, and discounts on VEEP workshops and materials.
Visit VEEP’s website to get more information and apply for the program. Application deadline is August 15, 2016; applications received after that date will be considered on a rolling basis. New Hampshire teachers are encouraged to apply as well; e-mail info@veep.org if you’re in NH and interested in applying.
